Where are the Amazon Fulfillment Centers?

Finding detailed information on the location of Amazon’s fulfillment centers is not an easy task. But for sellers in Amazon’s Fulfillment by Amazon Program (FBA) – it’s crucial. Storing inventory in an Amazon fulfillment center creates physical nexus (for more information on nexus, this a good place to start), and an obligation to collect sales tax in the center’s state. Businesses must be aware of where their products are being stored.
However, since marketplaces collect on your behalf, you don’t have to worry about collecting sales tax in nexus states if you only sell on marketplaces. (You can read more about how marketplace facilitator laws affect Amazon sellers here.)
If you are sensing a ‘but’, you are correct – certain states still require that you register for a sales tax permit and file sales tax returns, even if a marketplace collects on your behalf. If you sell via Amazon in addition to making sales through your own online store, such as Magento or Shopify, you are still required to collect sales tax from sales made through other channels outside of Amazon.
That’s why it’s vital for Amazon sellers to know where their products are stored. Using independent research, news stories about new fulfillment centers, and interviews with current FBA sellers, we’ve compiled a list of Amazon Fulfillment Centers in the United States and Canada. We will strive to keep this list updated as new fulfillment centers are built.
Keep in mind that some Amazon facilities are sort centers or other types of distribution centers, which does not create sales tax nexus. You can find a list of Amazon sort centers here.
